This is concept art for a neat little project I got to be a part of in Spring 2015. This is also the first time I recorded my process, which you can watch here.
The idea was a large-scale guerilla chalk art installation to promote UBC Party Calendar‘s Blank Canvas event. They, alongside Dripsy Collective, scouted a small group of Emily Carr and UBC artists to cover the front of Koerner Plaza in art. It was a sweet experience, but unfortunately it rained that night so when Monday rolled around, it had faded too much for people to see. Thankfully, the internet is immortal, so you can watch the video.
These shots were taken at roughly the 4-hour mark, about 1/3 through completion. I am very sad that I do not have a photo of the completed work as I assumed that the photographer or videographer would have captured one… but they did not.
