it just is

This is one of my favourite pieces and kind of my first attempt at photorealist portraiture.

The reference for this is an original photo by Brandon Stanton (Humans of New York), whom I’ve been a massive fan of since 2013. It’s so exciting to see the waves he is making in the world today. I was hoping to do a HONY series but never quite got around to it. Maybe I’ll pick it back up some day.
